Saturday, August 1, The Pitch will  host the 1st Annual City Market Beer Fest with 100 beers available for purchase.

The festival starts at 11 a.m. in City Market Park and ends around 6 p.m. Grab a few beers and hit the farmers market or stay all day to sample beers from local and national breweries. There will be special tappings, food trucks, and music on hand as well.

There’s no cover charge to get into the festival, but beer tickets cost $10 for four or $20 for 10. Each ticket is worth  a 6-ounce pour. You can swap two tickets for a 12-ounce pour if you find something you particularly like. Pretty good deal if you ask us!

More than 100 breweries will be on hand, both local and national such as Free State, KC Bier Co., Boulevard, and Martin City Brewery. Three food trucks, Lutfi’s Fried FishKin Kin’s Little Truck Eats & Snacks and Jerusalem Cafe  will be serving up delicious food as well as The Bite, sandwiches made by Carlos Mortera and his City Market restaurant.

Sounds like a fabulous way to spend a hot Saturday afternoon to kick-off August. A full list of breweries can be found here.
