Food Truck Friday!

The Kansas City Star’s Food Truck Friday will take place at 1729 Grand Blvd. The lineup includes: Wilma’s Real Good Food, Monk’s Roast Beef, Little Italy KC, El Tenedor KC, Drasko’s, The Waffler, Poppy’s Ice Cream & Coffee House, Pip’s Burgers KC, Deco Street Eats, Jones BBQ, and more! Harvesters – The Community Food Network will be there to accept monetary or non-perishable food donations to kick off September Hunger Action Month. Great way to give back during this fun event!

End of Summer Fiesta & Cerveza Royale Tapping Party!

Join the good people at Stockyards Brewing Co. September 2-4 for a First Friday fiesta as they tap the very first ever batch of Cerveza Royale, their newest house beer. Enjoy $5 20 oz pours all weekend along with a street taco special on Saturday and music on Sunday!

BravoKC: Kauffman Center turns 5!

Happy Birthday Kauffman Center. Come celebrate the Kauffman Center’s 5th Birthday! This FREE event will feature local bands and performances on three stages, lawn games provided by KC Crew, food provided by PB&J brands, specialty cocktails from 360 Vodka, pop-up interactive activities, fireworks and more! Birthday cake and free performances by the KC Ballet Company, the UMKC Conservatory of Music and Dance Division of Jazz Studies, Jessica Paige, and more will be featured through out the evening. Varnish Exchange

Grab a couple of girlfriends and head to the Varnish Exchange, a pop-up event with Kansas City’s top designers and artisans, held at Varnish & Vine in the West Bottoms. Wonderful local artists will showcase their stuff with beer tastings courtesy of Mike’s Wine and Spirits! Local artisans and vendors include  JaneskoDolyn BagsLily Dawson Designs, and more!

Superhero Weekend at the Zoo!

Meet your favorite superhero at the Kansas City Zoo! On Saturday, September 3 and Sunday, September 4 you can meet and take your picture with Ant-Man, Spider-Man, Hulk and female superhero Black Widow in the Tropics Tent.

Blooms & Booms at Powell Gardens

Catch lots of live music, delicious food from local vendors, a special patriotic Fresh Bites demo, search for dinosaurs and take a splash in the fountain, then top it all off with a fabulous fireworks display! All at the beautiful backdrop of Powell Gardens!

Yogis in the Outfield

Get up early and head to Kauffman!  World Champion Kansas City Royals are excited to host their 2nd Annual Yogis in the Outfield on Sunday. The Royals and KORE MOVEMENT’S™ Jennifer Glass and Natasha Marvis will hold a special one-hour yoga practice on the Kauffman Stadium outfield grass. A light breakfast will follow the practice in Rivals Restaurant. Each participant will receive a free Yogis in the Outfield Yoga Mat! Mats will be handed out on the morning of the event for use in the Yoga practice. The Royals play the Detroit Tigers later that day at 1:15!

Hit the pool, the last weekend of Oceans of Fun, ride the streetcar and explore #KC. Find a fun #local way to enjoy your last weekend of summer. Up next: Fall festivals!!
