It’s official: I am obsessed with Gale Nation. I scour quotes on Goodreads, trying to find the perfect quote to add to the items that Gale Nation sells. Gale is a hand-lettering artist who has a permanent space at Bella Patina in the KC West Bottoms and a studio in Topeka, Kansas. She sells her hand-lettered maps, mugs, ornaments and tees at the HMK store on the Plaza in Kansas City and teaches classes all over the state of Kansas. Her work can also be found at Very Violet in Lee’s Summit, Kansas; Restoration Emporium in Park Place in Leawood, Kansas; and Rescued Furnishings in St. Louis, Missouri.
What we love? Her customized maps with the hand-lettering of a favorite quote or phrase. A traveler by heart, these maps make me think of all my adventures in life, but make me appreciate exactly where I am at now.
