Liberty, MO– Early Sunday morning, 41-year-old Antoine Roston was shot outside popular Northland bar The Landing. Antoine, unarmed, was shot when responding to a call for service with Lyft.

Police say 28-year-old Patrick Pulse fired six shots from a laser-sighted semi-automatic, hitting Roston, once into his shoulder, one bullet grazed his head and the third hit him in the jaw. Understandably, the father of three is in horrible shape and is expected to live, however he has a long road to recovery.

But, they need our help, KC.

People that know Roston are shocked at this senseless act of violence. It is time to act and help this local father and pastor. His employer and some good KC friends are having a fundraiser for him Friday, Nov. 3rd from 6-9.

Kansas City Chiefs Derrick Johnson and other teammates, Jude Davila & Jennifer Harden of Prime Time Transportation and Shawn Larson of Homeslice Pizza & Pints  will join together to host a fundraiser with a live and silent auction to raise money for the mounting medical bills. A GoFundMe account will be started as well. The victim’s family plans on attending the event as they pray for Antoine’s recovery.

The fundraiser, open to the public, will be held at Homeslice Pizza & Pints, 1501 Grand Blvd, Kansas City, MO on Friday, November 3rd from 6-9pm.

There will be a silent auction with items from local vendors like Kendra Scott, Eddie V’s, The Reiger, Port Fonda, Rye KC, items from artist Michael Savage and a gorgeous throw from Happy Habitat as well as signed items from Kansas City Chiefs players.

Come by, grab a slice, and help raise money to help this #KC family. We hope to see you there. #givelocal
