Winnie, a contemporary artist that is drawn to the canvas, uses vibrant colors to tell a story and allow the observers to use their own imagination to find meaning in each of her paintings. Color is her passion- using colors like cobalt, lime, periwinkle, orange-red, and yellow ochre to bring her paintings to life. Her paintings will “speak to your soul” and Winnie’s wish is that you “listen for what your soul sees.”
Winnie also uses her paintings to bring out her inner-whimsical child. A puzzle piece is incorporated in many of her pieces, representing both her playfulness and the “playful spirit of her four grandsons.” One who has autism. The puzzle piece is the universal sign of autism awareness and advocacy, a symbol representing a calling to find the piece or pieces that may unlock autism’s mysteries.
Wines by Jennifer will feature Winnie’s collection in their art gallery, which is comprised of several intimate seating areas in the lower level of this renovated historical home, each adorned with beautiful artwork from the featured artist. The featured artist rotates on a regular basis and Winnie’s artwork will be available to view through September 2015.
A reception will be held on Friday, July 24th from 6-8pm, and the gallery invites you to join in on the fun, welcoming Winnie to the gallery. Winnie will be on hand to show off her work while the public enjoys complimentary appetizers, and of course, the full array of adult beverages that will be available for purchase. No RSVP required. Please join us in celebrating this wonderful local artist!
