Atchison, KS- This week-end marks the 19th annual festival celebrating the famous Amelia Earhart, who was born in Atchison on July 24, 1897.

Festival goers will love the downtown fair with arts & crafts, live entertainment, food vendors and children’s activities, panel discussions with authors and researchers,  aerobatic performances, aviation displays and fantastic fireworks over the Missouri River.

Earhart was an American aviation pioneer and author. She was the first female aviator to fly solo across the Atlantic Ocean and received the U.S. Distinguished Flying Cross for this record.
