Holiday Shopping in Parkville

Farmhouse Collection

When you walk into Farmhouse Collection, the first thing you notice is the wonderful smell- the focus of the store is hand poured candles, lotions, soaps and linen sprays made at Farm House Collection in Jamesport, MO. These local products produce fantastic smells and screams decorating for the holidays! Lots of unique and personal gifts here that your friends would love.  The store also carries unique home decor and a small jewelry/clothing boutique. Looking to start decorating for Thanksgiving and Christmas? We loved the the trees that were on display with a ton of holiday decorating ideas! Farmhouse Collection is open Mon-Sat from 10-5 and Sunday 12-5. There is a Fall Open House today and tomorrow. Be sure to add to your list for local holiday shopping.

The Middle

This store is an old favorite of ours! Having ties to the owners, we discovered this store when they opened and love going back and finding new local finds! Packed with products from some of KC’s top makers, you will definitely find the perfect local gift for KC fans. Have a Chiefs’ fan to shop for? Fantastic Red-Friday ready shirts and apparel for the whole family. We also love The Middle for their commitment to the community- they are currently booking after-hour holiday shopping events that will donate 10% of sales to local charities. Contact Michael Hollaway at The Middle if you are interested! (We can’t wait to shop for Ella’s Hope in November!)

Finders Keepers

After this locally-owned store was devastated by a car crash into their front-window in March, they have rebuilt and come back strong! Jo Williams started Finders Keepers in 1979 at 2 Mill Street, Parkville,  Missouri. Jo and her daughter Deb, are still in the same building, but the front door is at 16 Main Street. This is such a fun place to explore- home decor, antiques, items on consignment- lots of fun stuff and one-of-a-kind gifts for the whole family! We especially like the wood signs representing the local area colleges!

This was the tip of the iceberg in Parkville- we love all the local shops and restaurants that line Parkville’s Main street- plenty of places to eat, drink, shop, and be merry locally this season! Check out pics on our Instagram and Facebook page and stay tuned for more local spotlights throughout the holiday season!
