Local Pride Hits Parkville!
We love Parkville- with it’s quaint antique stores, delicious eateries or celebrated coffeehouse, walking Historic Downtown Parkville is always a great way to spend a Saturday afternoon.
Last weekend, Parkville got even better!
The Middle KC, a hip yet charming retail store, opened it’s doors to the public last Thursday. Walking into this new store is like a breath of fresh air! It’s open space, cool urban look, and feeling of Midwest pride brings all the charm of Parkville together with the coolness of downtown Kansas City. Co-owners Hilary Murray and Michael Hollaway have brought many local sourced vendors around the Middle States to the storefront, hence the name The Middle KC. While stopping by this store, I found so much to add to my “wish list!”

Looking for unique additions for your home? We found beautiful throws from Happy Habitat by Karrie Kaneda, handmade candles from discarded wine bottles by The Vineyard Wick, and original artwork created by FarmDog Studios that would add wonderful local flare to any home!

Game 5 tonight! It’s time to show your Royals Pride and #TakeTheCrown in 2015! This is the store for you! With local shirts from Loyalty KC, Freelance, BumpLeft and more, every sports fan is bound to find something to show off KC pride! I loved (and bought!) this original by Bumpleft! (The Middle KC has something for everyone-from baby onesies to the big guy in your life!)
To Support Local Community
Not only is The Middle KC supporting the Midwest and Kansas City, this store is giving a nod to it’s local community Parkville. Nestled behind Main Street in the bluff by the Missouri River is Park University. Park University has never had a brick and mortar student store…until now! Original Park University gear is available for the first time ever! The store also is featuring S.D. Strong Distilling Swag, the nation’s only boutique distillery located in a cave right in the heart of Parkville.
I could go on, but this store is to be explored! Whether you’re looking for art, home decor, fashion, or collectibles, you’ll find it here. The Middle KC is open Thursday-Sunday with hours found here. Grab a coffee next door and wander in on a nice fall afternoon- we know you will enjoy!
